The floodplain administrator is a federally mandated position responsible for administering and enforcing the Blaine County floodplain management program regulations of corrective and preventative measures for reducing flood damage. These measures take a variety of forms from flood hazard mitigation to permitting and regulating development of anything structural or non-structural that would affect the flooding characteristics or flood damages.
